Advancing and Accelerating

WSBC began in 2007 as a think tank and forum for sustainability, founded by Tom Eggert, a professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Our mission was to explore, define, and collaborate on sustainability initiatives for Wisconsin businesses.

Since then, we've evolved into a dynamic platform where companies collaborate, exchange innovative ideas, discuss business cases, and learn from one another’s experiences. Our flagship offering, The Green Masters Program®, is a certification and recognition tool designed to help companies establish credible sustainability programs tailored to their specific needs. This program enables businesses to define and prioritize key sustainability issues, manage them systematically, and leverage best practices and insights from the broader community.

In 2019, WSBC transitioned ownership to Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership: WMEP Manufacturing Solutions. This collaboration with Wisconsin manufacturers has significantly grown our impact and shaped the state's sustainability landscape. Going forward, as an independent non-profit, we are poised to broaden our focus and expand our impact, offering services that enhance financial outcomes for all Wisconsin businesses.

Your engagement and financial support are vital to our continued success.
