Morning Keynote Speaker:
David Kohler, President and CEO of Kohler Co.
With 26 years of experience with the company, David Kohler became President and Chief Executive Officer of Kohler Co. in June 2015, after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer since 2009. He is the fourth generation of the Kohler family to lead the company since its inception in 1873. David believes Kohler Co. holds a personal responsibility to bettering the planet. In fact, Kohler has created a program called Net Zero 2035, which involves sending no solid waste to landfills, reducing or offsetting 100% their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reducing its water usage.
Kohler is a proven leader in sustainability, making them an ideal host. At the event, attendees will have a chance to hear from Kohler’s CEO and see first-hand Kohler’s manufacturing facilities. This year, the Conference will highlight water as a sustainability issue, in recognition of Kohler’s focus on water.
Afternoon Keynote Speaker Jacob Madsen, Director of Sustainability - SC Johnson
SC Johnson has long been a sustainability leader in the state. From Sam Johnson’s decision to phase chlorofluorocarbons out of aerosols 4 years before the EPA banned them, to Fisk
Johnson’s decision to build two 415-foot wind turbines at Waxdale, the company's largest global manufacturing facility, SC Johnson has been a long-time leader in sustainability. Jacob will talk about how SC Johnson aligns their sustainability work with their values and their mission, making SC Johnson one of the state’s sustainability leaders.
See you next week!
